DECISION NUMBER:PH/125/2013
EARLIEST DATE FOR DECISION:5th December 2013

SCHOOLS FORUM CONSTITUTION AND TERMS OF REFERENCE
Matter for Consideration:
In accordance with the Schools Forums (England) Regulations 2012, Blackpool’s Schools Forum Constitution and Terms of Reference is due for revision
Information:
The Schools Forums (England) Regulations 2010 require that the composition of members is reviewed annually, in order that primary, secondary and academy schools are proportionately represented on the Schools Forum.

The further conversion of schools to academy requires a change to Blackpool's Schools Forum Constitution and Terms of Reference to revise membership proportions.

It is also proposed that the Schools Forum Constitution and Terms of Reference is updated to change the title of the member for the 14-19 Partnership to the member for Post-16 Providers in accordance with guidance from the Department for Education.

Finally, references to the Young People's Learning Agency (YPLA) require changing to the Education Funding Agency (EFA) as the relevant body for overseeing the operation of Schools Forums.
